The Port of Portland Headquarters building is a three-story, 205,000sf office building built atop a new seven-story parking structure at Portland International Airport. The project included many energy conservation and sustainable design features with the goal of attaining LEED Gold certification.
Scope: NWESI was contracted by both the wet and dry mechanical contractors on the project to provide the testing, adjusting, and balancing for all of the HVAC systems. Some of the design features included: ground source heat pump chillers to provide heating and cooling; radiant heating and cooling ceiling panels for a majority of the building; and wastewater recovery and recycling system.
