Legacy Good Samaritan is a hospital in Northwest Portland. Founded in 1875, it continues to serve patients from across the region from it’s original location at NW 22nd Avenue. This medical center includes a top rated cancer program, and surgery and research centers among other services for patient care.
The Good Samaritan GS-2 building central station had their air handler controls upgraded from pneumatic to DDC. Commissioning for this project included functional testing of air handler controls and their interaction with other building components such as the heating and chilled water systems.
Commissioned Equipment included:
- AHU’s
- Exhaust fans
- Chilled water system
- Heating water system
- Elevator ventilation fan and damper
- Fire Alarm systems and Emergency Power systems
This project was different from typical Cx projects because the work revolved around a new control system for the HVAC equipment in the building, where work was especially concentrated on review of the new controls submittals.
