Russell Pratt PE, BCxP, LEED AP

Russ started in the HVAC industry in 1983 as a mechanics helper in northern New England. Over the next 10 years he learned the finer details of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance by working as a mechanic. After a handling a few too many cast iron boiler sections he decided it was time to go back to college and in the early ‘90’s he returned school to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering. Since graduating in 1996 he’s been working and growing professionally from an EIT up to Senior Mechanical Engineer doing commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC and plumbing engineering design.

He prides himself on being the one to go to when there’s something a little out of the ordinary. His philosophy is “I live for a challenge. I want a design problem that I can sink my teeth into. If you aren’t outside your comfort zone once in a while, then you aren’t growing professionally.”

He has been engineer of record on several LEED projects in Idaho, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. He is registered in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, New Jersey, and New York.

He lives in Boise with his wife and two children. They all enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, hunting, and fishing. Basically, anything to get outdoors and enjoy nature.
