Project Description: This project involved the replacement of existing HVAC heating and cooling equipment for the building. Much of the building mechanical systems were beyond their BOMA rated service lives at Kaiser’s Multnomah administration building. The existing Johnson building automation system were retained, with some modifications to sequences of operations to account for equipment differences.
NWESI Scope: Commissioned systems and equipment included two new centrifugal heat recovery chillers, two electric boilers, forced draft cooling tower, all associated pumps, two new exhaust fans with variable frequency drives, and several new 2-way valves replacing some of the previous 3-way valves.
