Rosedale Elementary School is representative of Hillsboro School District’s commitment to energy efficiency and building system optimization; it is the first LEED certified elementary school in the district. NWESI provided commissioning services from design to completion of construction, helping to attain LEED Gold certification.
The project involved a 21,000 sq. ft. addition containing 15 classrooms, relocating the counseling area and remodeling the previous 6,200 sq.ft. counseling area. Additionally select walls were upgraded to be fire rated, some existing unit ventilators were replaced, and controls to some other equipment were upgraded to DDC control.
TTSD requested retro-commissioning to determine the best course of action to correct deficiencies and improve efficiencies.
